Abstrakty
Zarządzanie zyskami to zjawisko ostatnich lat ściśle powiązane z nowym nurtem myślowym w rachunkowości.
In this paper I have been dealing with an area of what academics generally describe as earnings management. Earnings management can be loosely defined as a strategy of generating accountings earnings. The paper is divided into three parts. In part 1 we present discuss the definition of earnings management. In part 2 describes the three approaches (the contracting approach, the decision - making approach and the legal approach) that preveil in the literature to answering the question of why earnings are important. In part 3 we reviews the different streams in accounting thought that explain why accounting standards are used to manage earnings. One implication of this review is that earnings management area remain a fertile ground for academic research.(original abstract)
