Abstrakty

Agencje ratingowe stały się istotnym elementem globalnego rynku finansowego. Obecnie są one częstym przedmiotem krytyki dokonywanej przez wielu ekonomistów. Celem publikacji jest przedstawienie specyfiki rynku instytucji oceniających wiarygodność kredytową, prezentacja idei utworzenia europejskiej agencji ratingowej, a także próba odpowiedzi na pytanie zadane w tytule niniejszego opracowania. Credit rating agencies have become an essential element of the global financial market. Currently, this part of market is a frequent subject of criticism, which is made by many economists. Most proposed solution to some of the problems is to create a European credit rating agency. The aim of the publication is to present the specifics of this part of the global financial market, to show the idea of creating a European credit rating agency, and to attempt to answer the question posed in the title of this article.
