Artykuł przedstawia krótką, historię narzędzi ilościowej oceny rozwoju społeczeństwa informacyjnego oraz prezentuje na tym tle E-Government Readiness Index - narzędzie umożliwiające międzynarodowe porównania poziomu rozwoju e-administracji. Opisane zostają główne wyniki tego badania, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem sytuacji krajowej. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The paper presents a brief description of the Information Society measuring tools and a deeper analysis of one of such instruments - e-Government Readiness Index - allowing international comparison of e-government development level. The key results of this study are discussed with special emphasis on the position of Poland. (original abstract)
