Celem pracy jest identyfikacja znaczenia czterech czynników kształtujących popyt na domy letniskowe: regionalnego, urbanizacyjnego, demograficznego i ekonomicznego. Wpływ i wzajemne relacje między tymi czynnikami oceniono przy użyciu metody regresji logistycznej. (fragment tekstu)

The aim of the article is to identify and evaluate the importance of demand-side factors of second homes ownership among Polish households. Four factors were assumed to influence the probability of second home ownership: region of residence, urbanization factor (size of residence locality, type of building inhabited and satisfaction with residence locality), demographic factor (household size, presence and number of children and retirees in household) and economic factors (per capita income, flat, car and money assets, property, and subjective opinion of household economic situation). The research employs data from a large scale survey on life quality in Poland conducted by CBOS Foundation in 2007. The logistic regression method allowed to identify individual influence of each factor on the probability of second home possession. The research finds that the most important factor of second home ownership in Poland is economic situation of a household, followed by the urbanization factor. The other factors: regional and demographic, have less importance, although they all have statistically significant influence on the probability of second home ownership. (original abstract)
