(fragment tekstu)
The main aim of this paper is a presentation of results of tests on investors' behavior on equity markets. More than 300 selected insure agents took part in the tests in October 2005. The tests confirmed that: investors think that "drop of DJ index today and WIG index tomorrow" is a more probable event than "drop of DJ index today", investors are more optimistic if they have a high anchor as a benchmark, investors value relatively higher stocks they have invested in than they have not had, investors undertake an additional risk if the price of a stock is below the purchase price level. The tests do not confirm well-known in financial literature two other processes: status quo effect and not undertaking an additional risk if the price of a stock is above the purchase price level. The final conclusion is that at least a part of investors' decisions on equity markets is irrational, leading to at least short-time anomalies. (original abstract)
