Technological Aspects of Implementing Mobile E-Guides on the Example of Oceanographic Museums
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
E-przewodniki stanowią rozwiązanie analogiczne do znanych z przeszłości audioprzewodników1, podobnie jak one zapewniając: możliwość zaoferowania wielu wersji językowych, brak wzajemnego przeszkadzania sobie przez po-szczególnych turystów lub ich grupy, możliwość indywidualizacji toku zwiedzania (zróżnicowanie tempa, a także trasy), możliwość oprowadzania bez udziału przewodników-ludzi, a przez to obniżenia kosztów oprowadzania, możliwość łatwego dopasowania przekazywanych treści do specyfiki indywidualnego odbiorcy (np.: dzieci, osoby niepełnosprawne itp.). Współczesne e-przewodniki znacząco jednak przewyższają funkcjonalnie tradycyjne audio-przewodniki, m.in. takimi możliwościami, jak: hipertekstowy opis wystaw i eksponatów, prezentacje multimedialne czy automatyczne rozpoznawanie położenia zwiedzającego(fragment tekstu)
The paper describes available technological solutions and issues related to imple-menting mobile e-guides, identified during realization of the BalticMuseums 2.0 Plus project. The project, partly financed from the European Union funds of the South Baltic Programme 2007-2013, is aimed at implementation of e-guides with shared content for oceanographic museums in the South Baltic area. The focus of the paper is on available mobile device types that can be used as e-guides, on in-door positioning technologies and management of e-guide content. The findings presented in this paper can be found useful by any tourist institution (or a group of such) considering implementation of mobile e-guides(original abstract)
