W artykule omówiono przesłanki teoretyczne i dowody empiryczne sugerujące negatywne związki między formalnymi i nieformalnymi aspektami etyki w zarządzaniu a nieetycznym i nieproduktywnym postępowaniem pracowników.

The article discusses the theoretical aspects and empirical evidence suggest a negative relationship between formal and informal aspects of ethics of management and unethical and counterproductive work behavior of employees. Empirical studies on a group of 958 randomly selected employees have shown that the implementation of ethical practices strongly explains the variance of the results on the instrumental treatment of the company by employees, and much less crime and financial corruption and violations of professional ethos. Conclusions from the study indicate that the formalization of ethical organizational procedures may be ineffective and can not counteract the unethical behavior of employees when it is not supported(original abstract)
