W artykule przedstawiono rozważania problemu sytuacji rynkowej jako czynnika warunkującego działanie mechanizmów reformy gospodarczej.

The article deals with the normative evaluation of the market situation as a factor conditioning the functioning of the proeffective mechanisms contained in the economic reform. The considerations are based on the Kornai's thesis which asserts a positive effect of the pressure on the market on the functioning of the economic system. In the article the thesis has been analyzed allowing for the differentiation of market's participants as regards their efficiency to conduct operations of exchange. This differentiation is the main reason for which market balance cannot be treated either as natural state or a desirable state from the point of view of the efficiency of the entire system.
