Abstrakty

W opracowaniu podjęto próbę przedstawienia zjawiska przedsiębiorczości destruktywnej w Polsce. Celem badań jest zwrócenie uwagi na istotę tego zjawiska. Bazą dla rozważań jest idea zaproponowana przez Baumola, który podzielił zachowania przedsiębiorcze na produktywne, nieproduktywne i destruktywne. Opierając się na wynikach panelu eksperckiego sformułowano, czym jest przedsiębiorczość destruktywna, jakie są jej przejawy i determinanty. Wyniki badań pozwoliły przyjąć, iż ogromną rolę w kształtowaniu zjawiska przedsiębiorczości destruktywnej pełni otoczenie instytucjonalne. To ono skłania przedsiębiorców do zachowań destruktywnych. Co więcej, bariery formalne stanowią główną przesłankę tego typu zachowań w polskim biznesie. Jednocześnie powodują straty społeczne kreując przeszkody dla rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego. In this paper an attempt has been made to concentrate on the phenomenon of destructive entrepreneurship in Poland. The essence of the proposed research problem is to draw attention to the activities of destructive entrepreneurs. The theoretical framework of the paper derives from the idea developed by Baumol, who assumes that entrepreneurial activities may be productive, unproductive and destructive. The results obtained from the performed closed expert panel has facilitated the definition of destructive entrepreneurship, the creation of the catalogue comprising destructive entrepreneurship forms as well as the determinants of the phenomenon of destructive entrepreneurship. When analyzing the data obtained in the empirical manner the author to the conclusion that the role of the institutional environment is of huge importance. The conclusions formulated on the basis of the results obtained from discussion proved the fact that predominantly the so called rules of the game (formal rules) direct entrepreneurs towards destructive entrepreneurship. Moreover, regulatory barriers are the main determinants of destructive entrepreneurship in business entities in Poland. Destructive entrepreneurial activities give rise to large social losses create barriers to the socio-economic development. (original abstract)
