Patent Activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan: Regional Differences and the Main Problems

In the article the current state of inventive activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan was considered. In particular , the analysis of the dynamics of the number of patents granted for inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks and service marks were given. The regional differences are investigated, the dominant region of Kazakhstan in terms of innovation are highlighted. In the article the results of the expert survey of patent attorneys were shown, in order to identify the main problems of functioning of the inventive activity.(original abstract)
