Abstrakty

Na podstawie danych empirycznych skonstruowano dwa wskaźniki kapitału społecznego (wiążącego i pomostowego), które następnie wykorzystano w modelu ekonometrycznym w celu zbadania zależności pomiędzy kapitałem społecznym a efektami gospodarowania rolników indywidualnych. W wyniku analizy regresji otrzymano odpowiedź, że zależność pomiędzy dochodami rolniczymi a wiążącym kapitałem społecznym jest negatywna, natomiast nie stwierdzono zależności pomiędzy dochodem rolniczym a pomostowym kapitałem społecznym. During the last two decades a growing interest in the concept of social capital was observed. Social capital was supposed to influence socio-economic development of countries, regions, or local societies. From this perspective, it is important to differentiate between bonding social capital and bridging social capital, as they have different outcomes. In this paper, the construction of two social capital indicators (one for bonding and one for bridging social capital) is described. These indicators were further used in the econometric model in order to explore relations between social capital and economic performance of individual farmers. Regression analysis revealed that there is a negative relation between Farm Income and bonding social capital, while there was no significant relation between Farm Income and bridging social capital.
