Wkrótce przyjdzie nam się zmierzyć z kolejnym przełomem technologicznym, spowodowanym zmianą sposobu zaspokajania potrzeb energetycznych społeczeństwa. Zasadniczą rolę w tym procesie odegrają odnawialne źródła energii (OZE) oraz konieczność ograniczania emisji gazów cieplarnianych. Nowe regulacje "klimatyczne" są obecnie największym wyzwaniem dla unijnej elektroenergetyki od czasu liberalizacji rynku energii elektrycznej. (fragment tekstu)
The European Commission plans to introduce a new technological revolution that shall be generated by a significant change of energy generation. It should influence even today the interpretation of energy safety, which shall be supposed, under the new conditions, to be defined by the perspective of innovation increase and technological progress. Renewable energy sources and the necessity to reduce the greenhouse effect are going to play an important part in this process. New climate change regulations are presently the biggest challenge for power industry since the liberalisation of power market. It is difficult to judge whether the currently prevailing methods of energy production would be still valid in the future. It seems that they will be replaced by new methods, more environmental friendly and there will be the absolute obligation to run in the energy industry only so equipped power plants. This situation has an impact on the Polish power sector and system of renewable sources' support. It is necessary to increase its effectiveness in order to ensure appropriate signals to the investors and to fulfil the EU requirements. (original abstract)
