The conformity assessment with the new approach directives is an important element of the European Union (EU) common market in removing barriers to trade and assessing consumer safety. The conformity assessment is carried out by the notified bodies within the notifications, which were notified to the European Commission. For the notified bodies and notifications the linear regression model was built. The number of the notified bodies was adopted as the independent variable and the number of notification as the dependent variable. The correlation analysis was also performed. The comparison of the selected parameters of the separated regression models for the "old" and "new" EU countries was also carried out. This comparison indicates that the conformity assessment system within the new approach directives is dominated by the "old" EU countries. Thus, there is a need, according to the European Commission, to take some steps to balance this negative relationship. (original abstract)
Ocena zgodności z dyrektywami nowego podejścia jest ważnym elementem wspólnego rynku Unii Europejskiej w zakresie usuwania barier w handlu i zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa konsumenta. Dlatego też istnieje potrzeba, by Komisja Europejska podjęła pewne kroki, by zrównoważyć tę niekorzystną relację. (abstrakt oryginalny)
