Western and eastern interests in European Union᾿s extent
Everybody agrees that the economic interests have always been more important than the political ones in the E.U. An explanation would be the following: many specialists considered that a sustainable economic development is the solution, or at least improves the social, ecological and even political problems. It was proven that things are not like that, that the social and ecological problems with their many faces cannot be solved, even if the market is no longer national, but regional, even if the free circulation of goods, capital and labour has no border impediment. Though there was a border, the European Union's border that limited the extent of the west European companies to the globalization era. Smaller than their American and Japanese sisters, the west European companies found themselves trapped within their own borders. The escapes were on the North American, Latin American and Asian markets, but without great chances of success. (fragment tekstu)
