Abstrakty
The augmented Phillips curve constituted the starting point of the analysis. It was additionally generalized to capture the effects of negative growth rates of labor productivity and excess demand for labor force which was characteristic for the years prior the transformation of the Polish economy. Empirical verification was based on annual data covering the period from 1960 to 1993. 10 industry branches and 5 sectors of the economy were distinguished. Basing on the results it can be stated that the increase of cost of living was the most important factor causing wage rises. Also labor productivity and excess demand for labor force proved to be significant in determining wages. (original abstract)
