Company Innovation and Regional Development : the Case of Opolskie Voivodship

Abstrakty
Głównym celem artykułu było zidentyfikowanie i zweryfikowanie zależności zachodzących między innowacyjnością przedsiębiorstw a rozwojem regionu, na przykładzie województwa opolskiego. Artykuł składa się z części teoretycznej oraz empirycznej. Istotą części teoretycznej były rozważania związane ze znaczeniem innowacyjności w rozwoju regionu. Część empiryczna obejmuje natomiast wyniki przeprowadzonych badań w zakresie związków zachodzących między innowacyjnością opolskich przedsiębiorstw a rozwojem regionu opolskiego. The main objective of this paper was to identify and verify the relation between company innovation and development of the region, on the basis of the Opolskie Voivodship. The article consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical. The essence of the theoretical part was to consider the importance of innovation in regional development. The empirical part includes the results of the research on the relationship between innovation of firms from Opole region and Opole region development. (original abstract)
