The author will analyze several aspects of the global economic crisis, prospects for growth, and the role of the American government, especially its aggressive policies aimed at lifting the United States out of the recession that began in December 2007. This will lead to the conclusion that despite the current economic crisis, the U.S. will remain an economic powerhouse and will keep its global leadership position due to creativity and innovative thinking. Section one presents the roots of the financial crisis. Section two addresses recession as a test of globalization. Section three discusses structural changes resulting from the current financial crisis. Section four examines the U.S. economic growth forecast. This is followed by a conclusion. (fragment of text)
