Przedstawiono stan polskich regulacji dotyczących zatrudniania nauczycieli akademickich. Podstawę do tych rozważań stanowi prawo z 2005 roku wraz ze zmianami z 2010 r.

The article discusses Polish law regulations in regards of employing and dismissing university teacher in Poland. In takes as a base the Law on Higher Education from the year 2005 along with its provisions and amendments introduced in 2011. The article deals with different aspects of employment relationship as well as with establishing contracts for work between university teachers and both private institutions and public universities. In case of independent university teachers in specifies the principles of their appointment. As if about academic self - reliant in presents the term of their employment. In the latter part, the article reviews various manners if terminating the contacts depending in whether it concerns termination of employment without notice, dismissal with notice or revocation of the appointment. The article concentrates on wide spectrum of issues connected with permanent employment contracts offered to university teachers because they constitute the most important part university and as such they play a crucial role in the process of students' education.(original abstract)
