The business value of information technology has been debated for a number of years. Especially because of the fact that Investments in IT are growing each year. Firms expect measurable results of the investments. Unfortunately, it is not an easy task. Using different data sets and different methodologies researches have tried to answer question how to measure IT investments and what is the true business value of IT. The article presents and analyzes key findings of these research. It shows that received results relating IT investments to firm performance measures are equivocal. The research considered in this paper reflect the effects of literature review conducted by the author. (author's abstract)
