The purpose of the publication was to verify the hypothesis that cash conversion cycle is longer for exporters than firms selling only on the domestic market. The study was conducted on the sample of Polish publicly traded companies (on the Warsaw Stock Exchange) using a simple t-Test for a difference in means with the Cochran-Cox approximation (two independent sample means test). The results moderately confirm a longer cash conversion for exporters than non-exporters. Differences in means were statistically significant for the following industries: retail and wholesale trade, developers, energy production and shipping, manufacture and sale of building materials, telecommunications and production and sale of plastics.
