Abstrakty

W niniejszym artykule omówiono turystyczną funkcję regionów. Przedstawiono znaczenie środowiska dla turystycznych funkcji regionów. Na koniec przedstawiono kształtowanie i ochronę środowiska w planowaniu przestrzennym - regionalnym ( w związku z funkcją turystyczną regionów).

Tourist attractions, which are important elements of the environment, constitute the basis of the development of the tourist function. The scale of the regional tourist function depends upon its relation to other functions which, like the Industrial one, make use of, or have impact upon the environment. The degree of the development of the tourist function depends, then, upon the intensity of protection of the environment. In Poland and in other European countries, there are elements of the natural environment which cam form the basis for the development of tourism and this is a reason why emphasis should be put on the protection of the environment, not only in traditional tourist regions but in all others in view of their possible future tourist function. As a corollary of the previous statement, regional planning ought to protect and secure the environment and to prepare it for its future tourist function. Regional planning is in a position to achieve this, since in the preparation of the regional plan, demands for various elements of the environment are considered, and before a project of their distribution is compiled, these elements are viwed from economic and social perspectives. The project sanctions the acceptance of the plan. (original abstract)
