Abstrakty

Artykuł przedstawia ewolucję kodeksów dobrych praktyk inwestorów instytucjonalnych w Wielkiej Brytanii. Rekomendacje dla instytucji były zawarte już w raporcie Cadbury'ego, lecz dopiero kryzys gospodarczy z roku 2007 przyczynił się do głębszego przeanalizowania roli inwestorów instytucjonalnych w gospodarce. Wynikiem tego było powstanie Code on the Responsibilities of Institutional Investors, który wyewoluował z UK Stewardship Code. Artykuł zawiera analizę tych dokumentów. W pracy przytoczono także badania odnośnie przestrzegania przez instytucje zapisów kodeksów dobrych praktyk oraz plany partycypacji inwestorów w procesie dalszej ewolucji i rozwoju kodeksów. This paper presents the evolution of codes of good practice for institutional investors in the UK. Recommendations for institutions were already contained in the Cadbury Report but it was the 2007 economic crisis that led to a deeper analysis of the role of institutional investors in the economy. As a result, the Code on the Responsibilities of Institutional Investors were developed and were later followed by the UK Stewardship Code. The paper contains an analysis of these documents. The paper quotes also the research on the compliance of institutions with the codes of good practice and the plans of investors to participate in the process of further evolution and development of the codes.
