Abstrakty
Zastosowano reprezentację w postaci aktywnych modeli wiedzy (AKM). Wskazano na rolę zarządzania, które obok współpracy i procesów inżynierskich stanowi ważny element inżynierii rozproszonej. Wyjaśniono rolę wzorców w procesie innowacyjnego holistycznego projektowania. Omówiono także krótko środowisko wspierające rozproszone projektowanie.(abstrakt oryginalny)

New possibilities of network-based distributed collaboration in dispersed teams, and in consequence collaboration between companies and R&D organizations have been addressed in the paper. New perspectives for engineering, and especially design engineering in collaborative networks have been envisaged. A central element of this vision constitutes distributed collaborative design in multidisciplinary teams. The article presents multidimensional virtualization of an engineer's workplace and related to it need for modeling and reuse of engineering and enterprise knowledge. Active Knowledge Models (AKM) have been used in the presented approach. Management has been recognized as an important element that besides collaboration and engineering processes constitutes collaborative engineering. Role and use of design patters in the innovative holistic design process have been explained. Finally, an environment enabling distributed design in collaborative networks has been shortly described.(original abstract)
