Abstrakty
The paper shows the situation in the Czech Postal Sector. Its characteristic and crucial role in the economy is highlighted. Several Czech and EU legal regulations concerning this sector were discussed and the competitive situation in the Czech postal sector has been outlined and compared to other EU members. It has been noted that in order to promote dynamic development of the postal sector, it is necessary to take steps which will lead to increasing transparency and efficiency and will also ensure universal service provision and protecting consumers and customers' rights.
