Abstrakty

W świetle otrzymanych wyników badań można zauważyć, że ryzyko oraz jego skutki mogą w zróżnicowanym stopniu oddziaływać na proces planowania popytu na produkty. W szczególności respondenci obserwowali występowanie różnych czynników ryzyka, wskazując wielość powodowanych przez nie skutków. Po pierwsze, nie we wszystkich badanych łańcuchach dostaw pojawiły się te same czynniki ryzyka. Po drugie, nawet gdy w grupie respondentów zidentyfikowano określone ryzyko, skutki jego wystąpienia mogły być diametralnie odmienne, poczynając od zakłóceń mających znaczny wpływ na proces planowania popytu na produkty, poprzez wpływ neutralny, po skutki, które ograniczały zakłócenia.(fragment tekstu)

The activities performed in supply chains ought to satisfy customers' needs and expectations. Therefore, in order to determine the exact possible future demand, the companies in supply chains perform specific actions. However, there are many factors influencing the correctness of demand forecasts, including variability of sales and orders, number of products offered by the company, length of the product life cycle, velocity of the market conditions and more. The identified factors may generate certain operational risks disrupting the demand planning process in supply chains. The goal of the paper is to identify the factors of operational risk and their effects in a demand planning process. The conclusions of the study are derived from the analysis conducted in a sample of 40 supply chains of manufacturing and service companies. (original abstract)
