Future studies on fertility in Poland could be directed towards comparison of its trends. However, the state of the hitherto data makes conduction of such research impossible, Therefore, the starting point of future research should cover systematic, yearly working-out the data concerning the intensity of induced abortion and its effectiveness at national level. The intensification of studies on trends and levels of fertility in Poland possibly evokes action leading to transformation of the existing backward birth control scheme on the part of the Government.(fragment of text)
