Abstrakty

Celem pracy było przedstawienie wkładu T. Schellinga w rozwój teorii gier, który stał się podstawą przyznania mu w 2005 roku, obok R. Aumanna, Nagrody Nobla w dziedzinie ekonomii. Praca poświęcona jest ruchom strategicznym wprowadzonym przez T. Schellinga w jego najważniejszej pracy The strategy of conflict. Analiza rozwiązań gier poprzez ruchy strategiczne typu zobowiązania, obietnice, groźby umożliwia pełniejsze wyjaśnienie zachowań graczy w sytuacji konfliktu. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The aim of the paper is to present the contribution of T. Schelling to the development of the game theory which gave rise to the Nobel Prize in the field of Economics awarded to him and R. Aumann in 2005. The article deals with strategic moves T. Schelling described in his most significant work Strategy of conflict. The analysis of game solutions through strategic moves such as obligations, promises, threats provides better explanation of players' behaviour in a conflictual situation. (original abstract)
