Grupa najbiedniejszych krajów świata (The least developed countries - LDC) jest częścią krajów rozwijających się, ale znajdujących się na znacznie niższym od nich poziomie rozwoju. Aktualnie LDC to 50 krajów [...]. Niniejsze opracowanie podejmuje kwestię międzynarodowej pułapki biedy krajów LDC. Pokazany jest teoretyczny aspekt takiego zjawiska - przesłanki powstania i mechanizm wchodzenia w pułapkę. Postawiona jest teza, że samodzielne wyjście z takiej pułapki jest niemożliwe bez zdecydowanego współdziałania krajów wysoko rozwiniętych.(fragment tekstu)

The paper concerns the so called international poverty trap of the group of the least developed Countries, exporting non - oil commodities. In the first part the theoretical aspects of the trap are discussed. One of possible models of the trap is analysed, based on the severe deterioration of the terms of trade of a given country, which entails the big, unsustainable external debt. In the second part the mechanism of the trap of non-oil commodity exporting LDC is analysed, due to severe deterioration of their terms of trade in the 1980-th.(original abstract)
