Abstrakty
Systemowe podejście do zrozumienia rzeczywistości można rozpatrywać jako syntezę intuicyjnej i analitycznej metody. Odrzuca ono próby sprowadzenia cech całości do cech jego części, lecz przejmuje od analitycznego podejścia zainteresowanie wewnętrzną strukturą obiektu. Rozwój systemowej metodologii stał się niezbędnym warunkiem zrozumienia logiki kształtowania się społeczno-ekonomicznych zjawisk kryzysowych, demograficznych tendencji, tworzenia strategii stabilnego rozwoju ludzkości w celu przeciwdziałania globalnym ekologicznym katastrofom. Systemowe myślenie pozwala przeniknąć poza granice tego, co wydaje się zdarzeniami izolowanymi i niezależnymi, oraz dostrzec leżące u ich podstaw struktury. Dzięki temu menedżerowie rozpoznają relacje między zdarzeniami, i w ten sposób doskonalą swoje zdolności do zrozumienia ich i wpływania na nie. Dowolną działalność menedżera ukierunkowują głęboko osadzone idee, strategie, sposoby rozumienia i kierunkowe zasady. W literaturze z zakresu myślenia systemowego określane są one jako mentalne modele. Mentalne modele determinują wszelkie działania członków organizacji. Są źródłem stabilności, tym, na czym można polegać. W ten sposób, mentalne modele przydają sens działaniom poszczególnych osób w organizacji. The systems approach to understanding reality might be seen as a combination of intuitive and analytical methods of thinking. While shying away from breaking a whole down into its constituent parts, like analytical thinking it has interest in internal structures of objects. Systems thinking methods and their development have become indispensable if we want to understand the underlying logic of socio-economic crisis phenomena and demographic tendencies or come up with strategies for sustainable human development in order to avoid ecological disasters on a global scale. In the systems thinking perspective, we can go beyond the boundaries of what seem to be isolated and independent events and see the underlying structures of those events. This allows managers to see how events are related and, through that, improves their ability to understand and affect them. Whatever a manager does derives from certain deeply-rooted ideas, strategies, ways of understanding things or guiding principles. All of these are known as mental models in the systems thinking literature. Mental models determine all activity of organisation members. They provide stability and are something that can be relied on. As such, mental models make activities of individual members meaningful and it is through mental models that organisation members interpret their experience.(original abstract)
