Abstrakty
The aim of this article is to show coaching as a method of developing leadership skills of a manager. Here are the main aspects of this topic: analysis of a role of a manager in a realistic business environment - coaching methods used in the development of a manager - analysis of the current coaching situation in Poland - practical advice for a manager who is interested in coaching A modern company should invest in the development of their employees at every level, especially at the management level. Coaching is a modern and very effective method of improving a manager's competence in order to be an effective leader. A manager is a valuable resource of each organization and it is very essential to invest in their individual improvement. The better leadership skills of a manager the bigger possibility of effectively reaching targets by a team of employees, which is managed by a competent manager. (original abstract)
