Abstrakty

Od rozpoczęcia reform gospodarczych w 1978 roku gospodarkę Chin charakteryzuje rosnąca koncentracja działalności gospodarczej w prowincjach leżących na wybrzeżu. Pod względem wielkości PKB per capita, dynamiki wzrostu gospodarczego i udziału w globalnym produkcie zdecydowanie wyróżniają się prowincje wschodnie. Ich korzystne położenie geograficzne, struktura produkcji przemysłowej i wyższa konkurencyjność oraz działalność korporacji międzynarodowych pozwoliły na osiągnięcie 95% udziału w eksporcie Chin. Preferencyjna w stosunku do wschodnich prowincji polityka władz przyczyniła się do koncentracji kapitału zagranicznego w tym regionie, a wyższy poziom rozwoju gospodarczego stał się czynnikiem dodatkowo wspierającym napływ inwestycji zagranicznych. Wzajemne silne zależności między produkcją, eksportem a kapitałem zagranicznym wzmacniają pozycję regionu wschodniego i przyczyniają się do wzrostu nierówności w rozwoju regionalnym Chin. The author of this article presents an analysis of the widening regional gap, and growing concentration of activities since the economic reforms in China. Reforms started in 1978 and implemented open-door policies in the coastal provinces. Development of export sectors and the inflow of foreign capital contributed to a rapid growth of this region. The coastal provinces had around 64% of total GDP, 85% of total Foreign Direct Investment inflow, and 95% of total exports of China. Factors responsible for this concentration of activities include preferential government policies, favorable geographical location, and superior infrastructure facilities in eastern provinces.
