Analysis of the Surveys Conducted Among Participants of the International Week and New Media Day

Following the idea of a Spanish American philosopher George Santayana, that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat their mistakes, the IntWeek Organizing Team focused on conducting evaluation surveys in order to contrive methods of improvement for the future. Using the quantitative rather than qualitative measure, most of the questions were forced-choice and just a few allowed the respondents to dwell on a given issue and express their opinion in a descriptive way. Researching two main groups of respondents: participants of New Media Day and students registered for International Week, we have decided to collect the data using both online and paper questionnaires. The first survey was conducted among the students and staff members participating in the New Media Day, a conference merging business and academic worlds together, which constituted an integral part of the International Week programme.
