In the search for effective ways of delivering social services, managers create organizational solutions hitherto unknown in the nonprofit sector. One of the new forms of providing social services are public-social partnerships, understood as activities undertaken in a collaboration between organizations operating both in public and social sector. This paper attempts to characterize the architecture of cooperation as a conceptual construct enabling to describe multi-stakeholder cooperation undertaken in the framework of public-social partnership. We advance the thesis that if we treat public-social partnership as a meta-organization, since organizations it consists of are legally autonomous and not tied up in employment relationship but operate in a single organizational project, it will be entitled to look into ensuing structure as a unitary organization. This construct is a development of the concept of organizational architecture, so far used in regard to individual organizations. (original abstract)
