Abstrakty

Region Pomorza Zachodniego ma korzystne perspektywy rozwoju opartego na wprowadzaniu nowych wyrobów i technologii. Mimo słabego potencjału gospodarczego, w stosunku do innych regionów, posiada szereg atrybutów przemysłowych, których wykorzystanie powinno przyczynić się do znaczącej akceleracji procesów innowacyjnych. Powstaje przy tym pytanie, czy konstruowane obecnie rozwiązania na poziomie samorządu i programów operacyjnych będą potrafiły wykorzystać wskazane pozytywne tendencje i neutralizować oddziaływanie ograniczeń. The study illustrates the nature and importance of intra- and interindustrial links to the functioning of the regional innovation system. It was noted that companies that interact with other industry players are characterized by higher levels of innovation compared to those who do not participate in such relationships. In the region of Western Pomerania base for innovation is to have contacts with a large and diversified group of suppliers, taking into account their number in the region can be defined as a positive phenomenon. On the other hand, it should take place to narrow number of links with industry suppliers to about one or two, the progressive specialization. While the structure of technologicallinkages with suppliers and customers definitely improves the image of the region, with many interdependencies indicates a reverse trend of growing importance of sectors representing low technologies. These phenomena imply that the wish to stimulate progress in the modern industries should include trans-disciplinary compounds with the traditional need for an innovative stimulation within the group. It also noted that the estimated models were not statistically significant in the case of ties along the full chain of production, reflecting the lack of significant differences in the level of innovation between different groups of companies. Western Pomerania region has good prospects for development based on the introduction of new products and technologies. Despite the weak economic potential, relative to other regions, has a number of attributes of industrial use of which should contribute to a significant acceleration of innovation processes. The question arises whether the currently constructed at the level of self-government solutions and operational programs will be able to take advantage of positive trends identified and neutralize the impact of restrictions.
