The article shows how the organizational culture influences on motivating people to innovative behaviors. The authors explain a relation between an organizational culture and motivation in the innovation context. Innovation today is a very important way to succeed, not only in enterprises but also in life activity. The key to development by innovation is suitable motivating system which stimulates people towards new answers and solutions to various problems in the company. Innovation needs a specific organizational climate of positive values, patterns and conducts. This climate is nothing but a culture that can and should be properly formed, cared and developed. The range of methods and instruments which affect people's motivation is very wide (consists of various and sometimes controversial management practices) and every company should fit them to the environment and its own conditions.
