Maritime transport, often calling shipping trade, is the most international of all the world's great industries - and one of the most dangerous. It has always been recognized that the best way of improving safety at sea is by developing international regulations that are followed by all shipping nations. Safety of sea transport can be divided on following three branches international law regulations (convention), seafarers education and training and technical development, including the fight against piracy. The paper is focused in general on main aspects of mentioned problems.(original abstract)
