Abstrakty

Województwo suwalskie znajduje się niejako na etapie wyczekiwania przed podjęciem decyzji o silnym zwiększeniu nakładów inwestycyjnych na rozwój przemysłu, w związku z planowanym zagospodarowaniem złóż polimetalicznych, występujących w okolicach Suwałk, Stąd też konieczność przeprowadzenia analizy zasobów pracy i zatrudnienia w regionie. Ma ona pokazać wielkość i strukturę zasobów siły roboczej, możliwości ich dalszego wykorzystania oraz zmiany na rynku pracy w woj. suwalskim w latach siedemdziesiątych i osiemdziesiątych. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest także przedstawienie aktualnego stanu zatrudnienia i jego struktury, głównie w gospodarce uspołecznionej. Określenie rozmiarów zasobów ludzkich, zdolnych do wykonywania pracy społecznie użytecznej, ma ważne znaczenie dla polityki społeczno-gospodarczej, a zwłaszcza dla polityki zatrudnienia. Wielkość zatrudnienia jest uzależniona od wielkości podstawowych zasobów siły roboczej, tzn. liczby ludności ogółem w wieku produkcyjnym.

Economic development is conditioned, to a greater extent, by labour resources - their size and structure. At the same time, economic changes, and paricularly the accelerated development of industry, influence the forming of labour resources. These processes are accompanied by the transformations in size and structure of employment. Scope of these transformations depends, among others, on size and structure of investment outlay directed to a given region. Suwalskie voivodeship is in the position of waiting for the decision concerning the substantial increase in investment outlays for the development of industry. Therefore, the present article, basing on the hitherto research, has been provided with an analysis of labour resources and the state of employment in the Suwalskie Region. The analysis has been focused on the current state of employment and its structure, mainly in the collectivized economy. The analysis of employment in the Suwalskie Region indicated, that there are no excessive resources of labour force in the voivodeship. The possibilities of employment growth resulting form entering the age accession to labour force by population will be not sufficient, either. The hitherto resources of labour force have been characteristic of low education level. Particularly striking discrepancies occur in the structures of education in rural and urban labour markets. Extensive possibilities of improving professional qualifications in schools of Suwalskie Voivodeship are also hardly available. From the point of view of potential transformations in the development of industry of Suwalskie Voivpdeship, the situation on the regional labour market will not promote the changes.
