Abstrakty

W okresie od roku 1949 Chińska Republika Ludowa przeszła transformację gospodarczą i ustrojową od centralnie planowanej kolektywnej i nieefektywnej do rynkowo zorientowanej, otwartej na rynki światowe i kapitał zagraniczny gospodarki. Wprowadzane zmiany w organizacji produkcji rolniczej i przemysłowej w latach 1949-1978 są przykładem nieskutecznej polityki gospodarczej zakładającej rozwój w warunkach autarkii. Otwarcie gospodarki po roku 1978 pozwoliło efektywniej wykorzystać istniejący potencjał gospodarczy, a napływ zachodniego kapitału i technologii podniósł konkurencyjność produkcji Chin na rynkach światowych. Zmiany gospodarcze w Chinach przyniosły sukces, dopiero gdy zaczęły odpowiadać na zachodzące w globalnej gospodarce i handlu światowym tendencje. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The author of this article presents importance of China's structural and market reform to economic expansion in the late 1970's and after. Reform and economic development in China have transformed not only the output structure but also the structure of investment and consumption. Reforms started in 1978 implemented open-door policy. Since 1980's external sector has been a leading factor in the economic reform drive. China's exports had grown rapidly in the late 1980's, mainly in the form of manufactures. The contribution of FDI to the expansion of China's foreign trade has been growing from 1% in 1985 to 55% in 2003. (original abstract)
