Dignity of Human Work - a Fundamental Economic Issue

Abstrakty
Dignity of human work is quite rare and often discriminated in economy. This causes pathological situations at work and leaves employees dissatisfied. In this report you can find the development of the following points:
• Every person has the right to dignified work. It is his natural need. That is why the right to dignity at work is included in many international declarations and in the Polish Constitution as well.
• Dignified work conditions are poorly organized in the labour market.
• Dignity of work is not possible to achieve without personal engagement of the employee.
• The knowledge of the value of dignified work should be popularized amongst employees, on different levels of education and in society as a whole.
In order to substantiate these points, I have used John Paul II's teachings and the effects of research of A. Kępiński and J. Tischner. The report consists of the criteria used to specify whether given work is dignified or undignified and what methods should be used to improve undignified work. (original abstract)
