As smart phones become widespread, the need of mobile application software increases. As a result, there are various applications in the mobile application market on any platform. These applications, which can be downloaded freely or non-freely, are generally preferred for making the daily life easier. However, although there are many applications serving for the same purpose, some applications are more popular and used widely. It is very important that software developers pay attention to certain matters in order to increase the user group of their applications. It is important to choose an appropriate software development methodology in order to pay attention to these matters. Different methodologies are used when developing mobile application. In this study, it is aimed to give basic information to those who want to develop mobile application with agile software development method. In this context, information regarding agile software development methodology is given and a roadmap about which agile software development methodology can be used while developing mobile application. There are many agile software development methods such as SCRUM, Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM), Crystal Methods, Feature-Driven Development (FDD), Lean Software Development (LSD), Extreme Programming (XP) and Adaptive Software Development (ASD). In mobile software development processes, methodologies like Scrum can be identically used and agile methodologies for mobile application like MASAM have also been developed. Thanks to its widespread use, Scram is recommended in mobile application development processes when the number of people gaining experience and information sharing are taken into consideration. However, it is important to cany out evaluations on project basis for selecting the methodology to be used. (original abstract)
