Podstawowymi czynnikami kształtującymi dostępność transportową jest infrastruktura liniowa, punktowa (punkt transportowy) oraz usługa transportowa. Dostępność jest czynnikiem determinującym rozwój społeczno-gospodarczy. Właściwie ukształtowana ogranicza negatywne następstwa związane ze zjawiskiem wykluczenia społecznego czy też gospodarczego na danym obszarze (fragment tekstu)

The purchase of the transport service is being conditioned with its availability. A distribution and a density of transport points operating the passenger and goods movement are one of the main factors shaping the availability of transport services. The limitation in number of regular bus lines as well as their lengths are affecting adversely to the transport availability of areas which they concern. Apart from longdistance lines all remaining kinds of bus lines communication in Poland registered the decrease what it can be the reason of appearing as well as deepening on these areas the phenomenon of social exclusion. However, one should remember, that in Poland we are observing the rapid development of the individual motorization, which in part is compensating for the smaller number of bus lines.
