Symbolic Decoupling and Investors Decisions

Abstrakty
Cel - Celem badań było ustalenie relacji pomiędzy rozdzieleniem symbolicznym obecnym w procesie screeningu venture capital a jakością inwestycji. Metodyka badania - Przeprowadzono 30 wywiadów indywidualnych, z czego 12 miało charakter wywiadów pogłębionych. Oszacowano korelacje pomiędzy wielkością rozdzielenia, a jakością inwestycji określoną przez indywidualnych inwestorów. Wynik - W wyniku uzyskano informacje o relacji pomiędzy rozdzieleniem symbolicznym, jego przyczynami i skutkami. Oryginalność/wartość - Zbadano inwestorów, co stanowi wartość dodaną, gdyż do tej pory w większości badano przedsiębiorców poszukujących kapitału. Potwierdzono relację pomiędzy wielkością rozdzielenia a jakością inwestycji, przy czym jest ona zróżnicowana w ramach wszystkich rodzajów. Wskazano na korzyści z niejednoznaczności przyczynowo-skutkowej. (abstrakt oryginalny)
Purpose - the purpose of the research was to assess the relation between symbolic decoupling recognized in process of capital venture screening and the quality of investment. Design/Methodology/approach -There were interviewed 30 individual investors, 12 of interviews were in-depth. There was estimated intercorrelation between decoupling and quality of investment. Findings - There intercorrelation between decoupling and quality of investment exists but the impact of different types of information on investment quality was diversifi ed. Originality/value - Most of research bases on interviews with entrepreneurs. In this research the investor is an unit of analysis what is a valuable, new approach. The next value added was discovery of advantage of causal ambiguity in venture capital screening. (original abstract)
