This article is the result of empirical research on the use of Altmanʼs model in assessing the financial position of companies. The aim of the study was to try to see the situation of the company Alma Market S.A. for symptoms suggestive of business failure. For a thorough analysis of the discriminative model was used. The calculated value of the function enabled the assessment of the condition of the body by classifying it into the group is not threatened by insolvency. (original abstract)
