W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań dotyczących charakterystyk przedsiębiorstw wysokiej efektywności, szczególnie dotyczących struktury organizacyjnej oraz szczegółów zarządzania wiedzą. Została zaprezentowana teoria dotycząca nurtów organizacji wysokiej efektywności (High Performance Organization - HPO) oraz pozytywnej nauki o organizacji (Positive Organizational Scholarship - POS). Przedstawiono wyniki badań przeprowadzonych za pomocą analizy obwodowej danych (Data Envelopment Analysis - DEA), dyskusja, ograniczenia dotyczące przeprowadzonych badań oraz możliwe kierunki badań w przyszłości.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The paper presents research results concerning the characteristics of high performance organizations, especially in the area of organizational structure and knowledge management. The theoretical background of high performance organizations (HPO) and positive organizational scholarship (POS) are presented, followed by the results of research carried out with the use of data envelopment analysis (DEA). The paper is concluded with the discussion of results, limitations of the study and future research directions.(original abstract)
