Po zakończeniu zimnej wony panowało przekonanie, o zwycięstwie liberalnej demokracji, która systematycznie pokonała dotychczasowe systemy od monarchii dziedzicznej przez faszyzm, do komunizmu. Świat. który przez niemal pół wieku funkcjonował w systemie dwubiegunowym, rozpadł się, a większość krajów dawnego obozu sowieckiego opowiedziało się za demokracją liberalną. (fragment tekstu)

The article deals with modern meaning of liberal democracy in a concern of dynamic processes in Asia. American policy toward the Middle East, based on a "crusade of democracy", was the main subject of international political debate around president Bush's principal thought. Controversies are easy to be noticed not only between politicians but in a scientific and moral contest as well. Modern Asia as the most important scene of worlds events is the biggest challenge for Washington and European powers. During last 15 years eastern regions with their growing economic possibilities became real partners for western countries. Several international organizations are the most significant evidence that global economic standards are sufficient to establish and develop relation based on a common interest and profit without question about democratic values in liberal autocratic regimes. In the same moment the Middle East stays as a field of imposing democracy as the only solution for regional instability. This is an example of how lack of definition of regional and national interest disturbs building coordinate relations between very different states dominated by one superpower which does not seem to have a strong idea how to deal with chaotic situation in Arabic countries except promoting democracy.
