Abstrakty

Prowadzone na forum Światowej Organizacji Handlu prace dotyczą różnych sfer funkcjonowania handlu międzynarodowego. Jednym z takich obszarów, dość newralgicznych, jest liberalizacja handlu z uwzględnieniem potrzeb ochrony środowiska przyrodniczego. Jak pokazują dotychczasowe doświadczenia, jest to na tyle skomplikowane i złożone zagadnienie, że do dnia dzisiejszego, mimo licznych prób, nie udało się w tym zakresie stworzyć żadnego porozumienia, które w formie ponadnarodowego konsensusu w sposób względnie jednoznaczny rozstrzygałoby te kwestie. Tym samym zachodzi naturalna potrzeba oceny tych prac, stopnia ich zaawansowania oraz nakreślenia możliwych scenariuszy na przyszłość. I taki też cel przyświeca Autorowi niniejszego opracowania. Sustainable development and protection and preservation of the environment are fundamental goals of the WTO. They are enshrined in the Marrakesh Agreement, which established the WTO, and complement the WTO's objective to reduce trade barriers and eliminate discriminatory treatment in international trade relations. But to the present day WTO did not succeed to create no agreement in this range, though advanced works are realized already from above twenty years. That`s why a prupose of this paper is to describe the current status and perspetcives in the field of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements on the forum of WTO. (original abstract)
