Celem badań było określenie zależności między pracoholizmem, zaangażowaniem w pracy a dobrostanem psychicznym pracowników oraz ustalenie, czy konflikty między pracą i rodziną pośredniczą w tej zależności. Wskaźnikami dobrostanu psychicznego były stres, wypalenie zawodowe oraz satysfakcja z pracy. Osobami badanymi (N = 267) byli nauczyciele i pracownicy więziennictwa. Wyniki badań pokazały, że pracoholizm i zaangażowanie w pracy w sposób odmienny wiążą się z dobrostanem psychicznym w pracy. Konflikty między pracą i rodziną pośredniczyły w relacjach zarówno między pracoholizmem i dobrostanem w pracy, jak i zaangażowaniem w pracę i dobrostanem w pracy.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The study was aimed at investigation the relationships between workaholism, work engagement and psychical well-being. It was also intended to test the mediating function of work - family conflicts. Psychical well-being was measured by stress, job burnout and job satisfaction. Participants were teachers and prison workers (N = 267). As predicted workaholism and work engagement were correlated with psychical well-being differently. Work - family conflicts mediates effects of workaholism and work engagement on psychical well-being.(original abstract)
