Abstrakty

Promocja przyjaznych dla środowiska środków transportu (Komisja Europejska wspiera działania w zakresie transportu towarowego w sektorze kolejowym) powoduje, że przewoźnicy kolejowi obserwują zwiększenie zróżnicowania realizowanych zleceń transportowych. W warunkach stałego popytu stosowanie tzw. stałych harmonogramów (tj. harmonogramów obowiązujących przez kwartał lub dłużej) pozwala na realizację zleceń transportowych gwarantującą efektywne wykorzystanie zasobów. Obserwowany obecnie wzrost konkurencji i spełnianie specyficznych wymagań klienta powodują, że podejście to staje się nieskuteczne. W ramach zaprezentowanych badań omówiono schemat procesu planowania przewozu towarowych w ruchu kolejowym. Omówiono typy modeli decyzyjnych stosowanych w ramach procesu tworzenia planów, a także przedstawiono wady i zalety ich stosowania. Artykuł kończy prezentacja problemu planowania cyrkulacji lokomotyw i modelu decyzyjnego wykorzystanego do jego rozwiązania(abstrakt oryginalny)

With the promotion of the environmentally friendly transportation modes, (the European Commission supports the freight transport operations in the rail sector) the increase of demand's diversification is observed. While most rail freight companies tend to apply fixed schedules, meeting the customer's specific requirements causes that this approach is not effective. The scope of this paper is to present a case study of rail freight planning over a medium term horizon and to discuss the opportunities of these plans improvement by discrete optimization. The problem of routing freight traffic is modeled as a dial-a-ride problem with two additional groups of constraints. In the proposed approach the optional transportation requests are considered. Such requests correspond to empty cars movements and are not specified before a solution procedure is lunched. Additionally the need of periodic inspections of locomotives are took into consideration. Based on our experience this issue plays a very important role in the tactical planning process. Despite a thorough review of the literature the presented extensions have not been considered in this area yet(original abstract)
