Obok szczegółowej charakterystyki etapów rozwoju tego przemysłu, przedstawiono działania stymulacyjne podjęte w celu zapewnienia dalszego rozwoju w sytuacji, gdy gospodarka światowa przeżywa kryzys finansowy i gospodarczy.

The article presents the development of the Chinese motor industry since its beginning to the present time when China is becoming one of the biggest automobile markets in the world. Apart from the detailed description of the particular stages of the industry's development, it presents the stimulus actions undertaken with the aim of assuring further development in the conditions of the global financial and economic crises. Over the last ten years Chinese domestic automobile plants have played more and more important role. Not only are they increasing their share of the Chinese market, but also more and more often they are entering foreign markets. In order to continue their expansion Chinese companies must introduce further adjustments in many areas of their activity.(original abstract)
