Abstrakty

W opracowaniu przedstawiono koncepcję, zgodnie z którą związek między poziomem nasycenia gospodarki kapitałem zagranicznym z tytułu absorpcji BIZ i produktywnością czynników wytwórczych w gospodarce goszczącej ma charakter nieliniowy. W rozważaniach całkowity wpływ BIZ na produktywność czynników wytwórczych w gospodarce goszczącej (efekt netto) traktowany jest jako wypadkowa efektu właścicielskiego (bezpośredni efekt BIZ) i efektów spillover (efekty pośrednie BIZ). Związek między BIZ i produktywnością czynników produkcji w ramach efektów spillover zmienia się z pozytywnego na negatywny po przekroczeniu pewnego granicznego poziomu nasycenia gospodarki kapitałem zagranicznym. The article presents the concept that the relationship between the saturation of the economy with FDI and factor productivity in the host country is nonlinear. Total impact of FDI on productivity in host country (net effect) is treated as the result of two effects: "own firm" effect and spillover effect. In case of the own firm effect, the influence of FDI on productivity is subject to some law of diminishing returns according to which beyond some level of the saturation of the economy with FDI an additional unit of FDI yields smaller and smaller increases in productivity. In case of spillover effect, the relationship between FDI and productivity changes from positive to negative when the level of the saturation of the economy with FDI exceeds some critical level.
